WHO SAYS DINOSAURS ARE EXTINCT?
I developed a fascination with crows while doing research for a short story in college. The story was never published, and, frankly, it wasn't any good. But I did learn a lot about the family corvidae, including some spooky facts about their ability to use tools. Jeremy, knowing about this little obsession of mine, showed me the following presentation about a crow vending machine from a TED conference.

The vending machine idea is very cool and innovative, but I had a nerd freak-out moment when one of the crows featured makes a tool out of a piece of wire. Not just uses. Makes. Watch out, humans. Better hope our feathered friends don't develop opposable thumbs and team up with the dolphins.
